Live Launchpad is an independent, hobby spaceflight project. We try to collect as little about you as possible, and we never sell your data. Here's the plain-English version of what we do and don't do.
If you sign up for launch alerts, we store the email address you enter so we can send you a heads-up before major launches and the occasional dispatch. That's it. We don't require a name. You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask us to delete your address (see Contact).
If you submit a high score, we store the 1–3 character initials you type and your score. These appear publicly on the leaderboard. We don't ask for, or attach, any personal information to a score.
If you create an account to track your course progress, we store your email/login and which lessons you've watched and your notes, so the site can show your progress when you return. You can ask us to delete your account and its data.
The site is built on a few well-known services and data sources. When you use the site, your browser talks to some of them directly, and they have their own privacy policies:
We don't use advertising cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage for practical things like remembering your game session or keeping you logged in to the Learning Center. Embedded YouTube players may set their own cookies, which are governed by Google's policy.
The site is general-audience and educational. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted their email, contact us and we'll remove it.
Questions, or want your data removed? Email hello@livelaunchpad.com.
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the "last updated" date above. This is a plain-language summary of our practices, not legal advice.
